sometimes a repair is big, like the one caused by they spilt paint bucket. other repairs are small, like carpet burns or bleach drops.  if the damage is small enough, sometimes it is possible to repair it with what is commonly called a cookie cutter. This clever device cuts a perfect circle in the carpet to remove the damage and another equally sized circle in the replacement carpet to seem in its place. although not appropriate for every type of carpet or repair it is often the perfect tool for the job.
